Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Tool Always start when cord is pulled, tool is balanced, cuts great. If very very very careful ( exercise your own due diligence, not recommended or condoned by Stihl), can be used when a few steps up on a Little Giant ladder to get those branches wayyyy up there. (This is first time I've purchased a Stihl product. Always see the professional arborists using the Stihl products.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall gets the job done no problem Great saw. Reaches very far but is also a little heavy and awkward to handle when it is fully extended. That being said that’s really the only downfall is being a little heavy. Very powerful, easy to start even after sitting for some time. Recommend to anyone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from durable quality tool got this saw to handle low-hanging limbs on my acreage and on pasture trees. have been very pleased with it and it's quality. a little heavy for an old guy, but it's a far stretch easier and safer than climbing a ladder. really like having the utility of the 14" bar. a little pricey but I think it will be worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic machine! The reliability and power we all expect from a Stihl in a compact telescopic easy to use pruner. Not only is the pruner a perfect tool for the job but the sales and service team at Western Maryland Power were knowledgeable and very helpful with my choice and training of operation and cars for the unit. Great people to do business with!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built, very dependable Pole Saw I have cut THOUSANDS of branches with my HT 133 and haven't had a single problem with this fine piece of equipment! It literally starts on the first pull EVERY time, I have NEVER had the chain come off the Bar, and IF you use it for what it is made for...you won't have any problems either! I don't know what other users are doing, but I have nothing but a GREAT Review for this Pole Saw! After sharpening my chains(3rd one) and cutting many, many branches...this pole saw is a welcome addition to my STIHL Fleet! GREAT job on this EXCELLENT piece of equipment!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product is easy to start The oil reservoir is made of plastic - not sure how this will hold up. I have pinched the chain a few times. Learned that on larger limbs, with the narrow chain, it helps to cut half way through and then notch before going all the way through. The balance of the saw is horrible. It wants to turn upside down when you are trying to use it, With the weight it is frustrating, The designers need to go back to the design board on this item.At first it was hard to start, After a period of use it seems to be pretty easy to start.Have had the chain kick off a couple of times, This may be because it is narrow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not perfect, but overall a great pruner. I've owned the 133 for about 2 weeks now and run several tanks of fuel through it. Overall I'm very happy with it, though I do have a couple of gripes. The good:-Zero starting hassles. 'Nuff said.-Plenty of power--I cut a number of larger oak limbs around 8" or so in diameter and the 133 had no trouble whatsoever--that included cutting them off the trees and also cutting them up into more manageable pieces for firewood and disposal. I cut countless smaller oak (and other species) limbs--again, zero complaints in the power department. I don't see how you could need more power than this. The 133 is only slightly more costly than the smaller model pro saw but has a whopping 50% increase in power. IMHO it is well worth the extra cost.-Minimal vibration.-Extendable shaft looks to be very high quality. Reliably locks in place, even when pushing or pulling stubborn branches out of the way. The lock is easy to use even with dirty hands/gloves.-I am extremely happy with the durability of the Stihl chain. Even after multiple tanks of fuel cutting hard oak wood the chain is still sharp! The bad:-As other reviewers have mentioned the wood chips don't clear so well from the cutting head and tend to build up under the cover. I had to stop work a few times to remove the side cover and clear out the compacted oily chips/sawdust before resuming work. (Though the bar nut IS captive which means you can't lose it. That's a nice touch.)-I feel that the shoulder strap Stihl provides with this saw is not very good. It looks and feels cheap. And on more than one occasion I found that the metal clasp/hook on the strap somehow disconnected itself from the loop on the saw. I can see a cheap strap like that being supplied on an inexpensive low-end homeowner model, but it's ridiculous on a high-end professional model. Stihl, spend the extra $ and give us a good strap!-The quick-release cap for the chain oil is very annoying. There is a narrow gap around the edge of the cap which sawdust builds up in and this is a pain to clean out, which you must do whenever you refill the oil, otherwise you get sawdust in the clean oil tank. It's especially a pain when you're wearing work gloves and are covered in sawdust yourself. The cap can also be fiddly to replace. This needs to be redesigned to eliminate that groove which retains sawdust, and to a different type of cap that doesn't require as much care and is more tolerant of dirt and sawdust. The not-so-sure:-The plastic limb hook. As others have mentioned the hook for pulling down cut limbs is plastic. It does appear to be polycarbonate, which admittedly is a very tough plastic (it's the same thing used to make "bulletproof glass", safety glasses, and so on). But that said, it does look and feel a bit flimsy. So far I haven't had any trouble with it but time will tell.Overall I think my gripes are minor; as far as starting up easily and cutting wood without bogging down this pruner works 110%.
